Our Mission
It suffices to say that the past five years have seen some monumental shifts in our way of life. Global warming is an issue more prevalent than ever, and the lack of access to technology for developing nations has proven to be a major cause for their staggered progress.
That being said we live at the forefront of technological innovation. We are constantly finding newer cleaner sources of energy as well as creating cheaper and better technology making it available to a larger group of people.
To capitalise on this era of innovation, we created the Ardingly Solar Car Project, where a group of like-minded students work tirelessly to develop solar cars, helping to safeguard the future of the planet.
Students are immersed in a project that is industry standard and professional, with mentorship provided by university students, local tradespeople, mechanics and electricians, as well as national businesses.
We believe a project such as this is a vital element in any ambition for the UK to become a net zero economy and world leader in green technology.
We have continued to innovate in order to eradicate the environmental and social problems facing the world - we have no intention of slowing down, hence our announcement of a new project, building a flatpack solar car with additional socio-economic benefits to low-income countries, in 2021.
We as students wanted to be part of a greener future - with the support of our schools and sponsors, we are working towards researching and creating new automotive technologies to rework and revolutionise the world’s favourite method of transportation.
